Day 1

Meet on arrival and be ushered to a luxury car waiting at the porch. Drive to Colombo and check in at the Colombo Hilton Hotel. In the afternoon make a city tour of Colombo.

Colombo
Until recently Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo is a diverse blend of old colonial architecture and the modern high-rise buildings. From the grand old mansions of the by-gone era to the department stores and shady tree-lined boulevards of today, Colombo is able to satisfy everyone from the prince to the pauper. From golf courses to excellent shopping, dining, wining and entertainment venues you name it, Colombo has it!

Day 2

Breakfast and leave to Sigiriya.  Reach Sigiriya and climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya 
  Located a few hours’ drive from Colombo, Sigiriya is a   
  magnificent rock fortress built in the 5th century A.D.  This
  majestic Citadel in the sky was the refuge of King Kasyapa
  and is world-renowned for its ‘Mirror Wall’, which consists of
  poems and paragraphs carved by some of the thousands of
  visitors who visited the rock many years ago, and for its
  magnificent frescoes, similar to the Ajantha frescoes of India.
  Sigiriya is in fact, the best-preserved city centre in Asia from
  the first millennium and has been named as a world heritage 
  site.

Day 3

After Breakfast proceed to Polonaruwa.

Polonnaruwa
Polonnaruwa is Sri Lanka's second oldest kingdom and features a plethora of ruins and places of religious worship. Some of the many interesting places to visit in Polonnaruwa include the Gal Viharaya (Stone temple), Lankathilake, Tivanka Image House, Nissanka Latha Mandapaya, the Audience Hall and the Vatadage.

Afterwards proceed to Minneriya National Park.

Minneriya National Park
The Minneriya National Park is centred on the ancient Minneriya Tank (built in 3rdcentury AD by King Mahasena). In fact, the tank offers a wonderful vantage point to observe the elephants that come there to bathe and graze on the grasses as well as the huge flocks of birds that come to fish in the shallow waters. The park is also home to many species of endemic and endangered reptiles and amphibians such as the Red-lipped Lizard, Skink and the Sri Lanka Greater Hourglass Tree Frog.

Day 4

Breakfast and proceed to Dambulla.

Dambulla
Designated as a World Heritage site, the Dambulla Temple is located on a gigantic rock towering more than 160 m above the surrounding area. The Rock itself is more than 1.5 km around its base and summit is at 550 km. The caves on this rock were the refuge of King Walagamba when he was in exile for 14 years and feature a mixture of religious and worldly paintings and sculptures. Several reclining Buddha's which includes the 15 m long sculpture of the dying Buddha.

After completion, proceed to Kandy enroute visit the A Spice Garden In Matale and learn about the different spices of Sri Lanka and how it could be useful for day to day life.

Reach Kandy.

Kandy
The hill capital of Kandy lies picturesquely surrounded by mountains and rivers just 72 km away from Colombo. Kandy features the most sacred of all Buddhist shrines - the temple of the tooth or The Dalada Maligawa, which holds the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. This is also the location in which the annual Esala Perahera, one of the most sought after events in the country takes place.
The Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, the Spice Gardens and the picturesque Victoria Golf Course, rated among the world's best, are just some of the many attractions in Kandy.

Day 5

Breakfast and proceed to Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

Peradeniya Botanical Gardens
The Royal Botanical Garden Peradeniya, with a total land area of over 147 acres, is Sri Lanka’s largest and most popular Botanical Garden. Renowned for its collection of over 300 varieties of Orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palms trees the Peradeniya Gardens is also the National Herbarium.
 
Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya

Visit to a Tea Factory and Plantation on the way
A trip to Nuwara Eliya will not be complete without a visit to a tea factory. From the misty hills to the tea plucker’s basket through the various machinery, the tea leaves follow a drastic changing process which is fascinating to watch. Many factories and plantations in Sri Lanka offer guided tours of their factory and lets guests explore the secrets of how a perfect 'cuppa' is born.

Reach the town of Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya
The scenic town of Nuwara Eliya or 'Little England' lies nestled in a valley more than 2500 m above sea level and is surrounded by misty mountain ranges covered in pine forests and tea cultivations. Nuwara Eliya has a much cooler climate, which is in stark contrast to the tropical climate experienced in other parts of the island. Within easy reach of Nuwara Eliya is the Hakgala Gardens, where flora and fauna of the area have been cultivated. The beautifully landscaped gardens provides and ideal environment to spend a day.

Transfer to Kandapola.

DAY 6

After a Breakfast journey to Kitulgala.

Kitulgala
The small town of Kitulgala is located in the wet zone rainforest in western Sri Lanka, which gets two monsoons each year, and is one of the wettest places in the country. The Kelani River is wide at Kitulgala, and is the primary base for white-water rafting in Sri Lanka, which starts a few kilometres upstream.

Afterwards proceed to Beach Hotel for extension stay.
